Final Posting
It's hard to believe that it was seven years ago today that I first posted on The Winchell Factor. While other tech initiatives have come and gone, most of my students have preferred to continue using The Winchell Factor over any of these. Sometimes, simpler is better.
With that said, nothing lives forever. With technology, there will always come along something that offers a better user experience and I think Google Classroom has the potential to be such a thing. It will allow me to share assignments, solutions, and classroom news faster and more efficiently.
Due to the switch to Google Classroom, this will be the final *sob* posting on The Winchell Factor. It's been quite a ride. Here are my stats:

Due to the switch to Google Classroom, this will be the final *sob* posting on The Winchell Factor. It's been quite a ride. Here are my stats:
- 919 total posts (I guess this will be #920)
- 32,702 page views in seven years
- Though most views came from my students, I had views from Russia (485), Germany (476), France (328), Latvia (212), Ukraine (166), Poland (118), UK (66), Canada (64), and India (51). So, Spasibo, danke, merci, paldies, dziękuję, thank you, and धन्यवाद्
Most of my students have enjoyed this site and I hope that their Classroom experience will be even more helpful to their education.

Welcome to the Winchell Factor! This is where you will find all relevant information about Mr. Winchell's first semester trig class for the 2015-2016 academic year. Notices, homework, class notes, solutions, and other items of interest will be posted here regularly. Students who miss class can still get the notes and assignments so they don't fall behind. Parents can check to see if their child is being honest when they say, "I have no homework."

1. Quiz on Trig Identities - here is the full packet of identities (with 1 possible solution).
2. Use the trig table to plot the sine function. Use the radian angle measure at the x-coordinate and the sine value as the y-coordinate. Here is the start of it. Notice I found a decimal approximation for the sine values and plotted them. Once you are finished plotting the points, connect them with a smooth continuous curve.

Congratulations on successfully completing Precalculus. I know it wasn't always an easy journey, but I hope you learned a whole lot along the way. I felt your pain when you struggled as much as I felt the joy when you succeeded. As you finish this phase of life and get ready to begin the next stage, WB will miss you. When I graduated back in 1993 from WB, I never looked back. I put WBHS behind me and kept moving forward. Little did I know (in fact, I never imagined), that 9 years later I would be walking back through these doors to teach a new generation. I will miss you all and hope that you come find me - you may have to look hard in the new building - when you come back home. **sniff...sniff** I need to stop now.

D-Block: 7:30 - 9:05 (you must stay until at least 8:30)
I wish you all the very best of luck on the final exam. Though not easy, I feel it encompasses everything we've learned this year.
I also wish you all the greatest success as you leave WB. I want you to know that just because you graduate, it doesn't mean that you stop being my students. Whenever you need anything (math help or any other kind of help), I hope you know that my door is always open (you may just have to find it in the new building.)
